Assador 29
About the Project
A website for a popular grill restaurant that celebrates the flavors of the world, designed to reflect its authentic spirit while keeping things simple, tasteful, and accessible.
Introduction
The making of the new Assador 29 websiteAssador 29 is a well-known restaurant specializing in meats from around the world. Despite its strong local reputation and a restaurant that’s always full, the brand lacked an online presence that could reinforce its authenticity, provide credibility, and open the door to more reservations.
The goal was to create a website that was elegant but true to who they are: a place focused on flavor and experience rather than luxury. The team wanted something beautiful and well-crafted, but not overly polished or “premium”.
What we did
About the DesignWe developed a design that embraces the grillhouse aesthetic while keeping it grounded and honest. The site uses dark tones, bold typography, and textures inspired by stone and dark wood to create a rustic yet refined visual experience. Every choice, from color to layout, aimed to capture the warmth of a steakhouse without falling into the clichés of high-end dining.
That attention to detail extends to the specifics. The world map section, for example, is not a generic design element: it's a direct reference to the large stainless steel map installed on the restaurant wall, where each mark traces the origin of a meat on the menu. Details like this are what make the difference between a website that looks good and one that feels made for you.

Development
This website was built as a single-page experience using Astro, chosen for its speed, scalability, and focus on performance.
Our goal was to deliver a site that looked polished but remained lightweight and easy to maintain.
The structure is fixed but flexible, composed of purpose-built modules that cover all the client’s needs: text and image modules that can show event highlights, CTAs, testimonials, menu carousels, workshops, etc.
This modular system allowed us to keep development efficient while giving the client a tailored solution that fits their business perfectly.
The site is also available in both Portuguese and English, serving local regulars and international visitors alike.
We also implemented subtle animations and transitions to add movement and depth without compromising load times. Combined with Astro’s performance-oriented build process, the result is a fast, dynamic, and visually engaging experience across all devices.
Conclusion
A Website as Good as the FoodThe result is a website that feels like a natural extension of the restaurant: warm, grounded, and built with care. For a brand that has always relied on the quality of its product, it now has an online home that does it justice.
